Vistula Communications
Services, Inc. Announces the Signing of Saigon Post and Telecommunications
Services Corporation for implementation of Vistula’s V-Cube™
VoIP platform in Vietnam.
For Immediate Release
New York – October 19, 2005
Vistula Communications Services, Inc. (“Vistula”)
announced today that it has signed a pilot Contract with Saigon
Post and Telecommunications Services Corporation (“SPT”)
for the implementation of Vistula’s V-Cube™ VoIP
platform in Vietnam.
Following installation and testing by SPT, Vistula has now entered
into an agreement under which SPT will implement V-Cube™
as the engine delivering a range of VoIP telephony services
to the Vietnamese market. Initially Vistula and SPT have signed
a pilot license agreement under which SPT will conduct a pilot
program with a group of selected customers in Ho Chi Minh City.
As soon as the pilot programme has been successfully completed,
Vistula and SPT will enter into a full contract under which
SPT will market Vistula’s VoIP services to its extensive
existing client base as well as to new business and residential
end-users. SPT will launch the pilot service in November 2005
and expect to move to full launch by January 2006.
Trinh Dinh Khuong, Director General of SPT said, “Our
engineers have been most impressed by the technical capabilities
of the V-Cube™ platform. We are proceeding with a soft
launch in November with a group of business enterprise customers
in Ho Chi Minh city, followed by a full roll out in January
2006. SPT intends to target both domestic customers in Vietnam
and overseas Vietnamese businesses who will subscribe to the
VoIP product suite. High speed Internet access is growing rapidly
in the region and V-Cube™ should become a significant
core product for SPT. “
When SPT launches the full service in January 2006, the company
intends to market Vistula’s IP product suite to 500,000
business and residential users in Vietnam. At the same time
SPT will market to Vietnamese enterprises in the United States,
Europe and the Far East so as to create a common domain for
all Vietnamese users."
Rupert Galliers-Pratt, Chairman and CEO of Vistula, said, “SPT
is a major telecommunications company in Asia and as our first
installation of V-Cube™ with a national PTT in their home
market, this contract marks a significant step forwards for
the company.”
